Niches

Niches in the wall served for oil-lamps and ritual images. The niche on the right contains a secret tapered compartment which reached through both sides of the wall. Among items recovered in it were a brown wax candle, pieces of old yellowish paper, and a coin of Grand Master De Rohan dated 1787.
