Graffito of a Medieval Dutch Merchant Vessel

On the lintel stone above the balustrades, the graffito of a medieval Dutch merchant vessel indicates the possible presence of a merchant. The graffito was etched to remind what kind of vessel was expected with the merchandise. Once the butler spotted such a vessel coming into harbour, he had to inform his master.

Now proceed up the stairs and stop at the terrace door or go onto the terrace if weather is permitting.
